HEART OF A PIG

Doctors may be a step closer to putting pig parts - hearts, kidneys and livers - into humans. Researchers at Revivicor have "knocked out" a pig gene thattriggers an immune response in humans. The next step: introducing human genes into pigs that trick the human immune system into recognizing the organs as thier own. Dr. David Cooper of the University of Pittsburgh, Revivicor's affiliate, says clinicals will take at least another five years - KARLA BRUNNING

This is sick. Please read my line.

Should we (human) descend down to this level of filth?

I personally and strongly oppose to this research. I'd rather die if they are to put any 'filth' inside my body. I know this is also not ethically correct especially to the Muslim's community... what are they thinking? Pigs? Oh, come on.

I am very sure that most of us Malaysians, especially Muslims are practising their moral values. I am saying this especially when appreciating and being thankful for being blessed with the greatest creation of the Creator Himself. Our body. So, even if there is a belief that pig is not  a 'filthy' animal in Islam, I will not approve this either. Animal parts should belong at their respective places. God has ruled it out. Why do we try to outsmart father nature? Why can not we channel our 'capabilities' to escalate better living of human being? Meaning the better and in more ethical way. I can not answer this either because it is polluting my values.

Then, in the article, the strong "knock out" phrase suggested that this is being unlawful and immorally practiced. What kind of sinister would this be if the world is to accept this? Tricking human immune system to force in accepting pig's parts as their own? Ridiculous.

I leave my hanging comments for other's to kindly add in. Please my friends. What say you?  To my another point of view, it seems that technology is taking sweet revenge back on us. Just because of the attitude and to fulfill one of human's desires that is to live longer. Oh, please. I feel sick already. Finally, I am praying that this so-called 'righteous-job' to fail, and all the researches would come back to their Human Senses again. (Dd)

This instance is the very reason why should moslems must return to their rightful place as the leaders in science and technologies discovery, and not as mere end-users, as it was during the Golden Age of Islam. So, that it we do not have to rely on their un'halal' technologies, in what ever field it may be, especially in medical dan food and beverage technologies.

actually,about this topic is agreed by all of the group of muslim but the problem is the mentallity of certain people..that they hard to accept the other organ from animal or whatever that we know it is contribute to the goodness...hopefully,we can accepted after next years..

i cant agree with u more Dd. Pig parts inside human is wrong.. the reason why pig is considered as heavy filth is stated in the Quran..

First and foremost pls minimise the grammatical errors... maybe it's typo but just pointing something out...

For the topic, I agree with the concept Father Creator ( Not Father Nature)is perfect. His creations are perfectly designed for it's purpose. And sticking something somewhere it doesn't belong only spells DISASTER IN THE MAKING, not to mention damnation. Who knows what goes on behind closed doors. Unless we Muslims conduct the same experiment, Heaven forbids, we wouldn't know. But, there's no need to go to such extent because we all know, even in automobiles, try fitting a Ducati S600 transmision to a Mitsubishi 4G91 engine straight up without major modification to the original parts... It just won't work. As we all know, a swine's anatomy has (this is my guess) around 70% similarity to human's. and there is a chance that the heart they use is actually human, and they claim it's a pig's heart.

We know the capability of today's graphic editing technology. Just watch the movies...

Unless they are willing to perform that procedure in public presence, I just say it's a load of crap.

Prove me wrong...

Of course they'll go with those "unfeasible, not cost effective, not proper environment" BS just to hide their tails tucked in their rear ends while they slowly run away from my dare...

Basically I can only say is that when come to survival to continue living, why not even if there is a mixture of mechanical/animal parts fixed into our body so long it can function to keep oneself alive.
